Prophetic Guide To The End Times On

Zechariah, the father of John the Baptist, uttered the Benedictus (“Blessed,” the initial Latin word of the prophetic song) under the inspiration of the spirit. His wife, Elizabeth, also was described as being inspired by the spirit. Others are Simeon, the prophetess Anna, and John the Baptist. Those prophets are conceived by the New Testament writers as the termination of Old Testament prophecy, a concept also expressed by Jesus with reference to John the Baptist. This author notes how the secular and religious apocalypticism are mirror images of each other. Both originate from disasters, social dislocation and dashed expectations.
And we were told in 1844 that He was coming and we were told that in 1914 that He was coming. And were told in September of 1988 that He was coming and I have heard some thing on the radio recently that assure me that He is coming at the end of this year. Spurgeon who was writing in a time when somebody had just predicted that the Son of man was coming in 1866, it was the year, 1855, and C.H. Spurgeon said because they have predicted that He is coming in 1866, I don’t believe He will. That which the incarnate Son says that He does not know. This is exactly what happened in what was supposed to be the most educated, cultured nation on earth—Germany! That was the nation with the greatest number of people with master’s and doctor’s degrees, proportionately, of any peoples on the earth. Revelation 13 describes the revival of a great military power. These soon-to-happen events will be awesome to witness. The “king of the North,” a future European Napoleon or Hitler type of powerful, dynamic leader, will react mightily with a blitzkrieg retaliation.
God’s grace is enough for the coming days of battle. We will come to the point in history where it appears that darkness has really won the day. It will seem as if the Antichrist is going to continue for ever. It will seem as if the church has been entirely obliterated, for there will no longer be any sign of it. “‘Let him be drenched with the dew of heaven, and let him live with the animals among the plants of the earth. 16 Let his mind be changed from that of a man and let him be given the mind of an animal, till seven times pass by for him.

Sometimes, if my house was especially quiet, I’d momentarily panic that everyone had been raptured up without me. And so, all of that hope for future deliverance and restoration is still yet to happen. As the Hebrew Bible comes to a close in the centuries after the exile, there's the sense that there's still another event that's yet to take place. There's still some final judgment, final separating of the faithful and the faithless among God's people, there'll be a new temple.
More often, apocalyptic ideas have issued in the expectation that human history might screech to a halt at any moment and dissolve into some kind of apocalyptic judgment. Protestant Christians have been especially susceptible to these schemes, especially the more conservative Protestants known as evangelicals, because of their inclination to read the Bible literally. They have tended to focus on the New Testament book of Revelation as well as the book of Daniel in the Hebrew Bible.

The Roman empire restrained the apostate church until it came into Rome’s favor with Constantine who empowered Catholicism and caused it to be known throughout the world. In the past, some thought Hitler, Stalin and Saddam Hussein were the Antichrist. We will consider every passage where the term “antichrist” appears in the Bible, but first let’s look at some other passages that some believe also speak of the Antichrist. At the end of the seven years Jesus will come back with His saints, conquer the enemy and reign on the earth for a thousand years. In Matthew 24, Jesus prophesied the destruction of the temple that then stood in Jerusalem (vv. 1-2).
Socialism is a plan to subvert God’s dispensation of riches, so it’s not wrong to kick more than a half-million people off of food stamps amid a pandemic. Women’s rights seek to subvert the hierarchy God created for the home, while immigration leads to pluralism, a watering down of America’s Christian essence. The coronavirus is a punishment that entered America through its most liberal cities, and a proactive response to the virus is an overreach of a government that would emasculate men by usurping their God-given autonomy over the safety of the family.

And here we learn that Christians must practically acknowledge the authority of the Lord Jesus’ Word. Jesus makes it plain here that no rabbi or prophet in their right mind would have ever made heaven and earth will pass away, but My Word will never pass away. The cosmos, the universe, the sky, everything as we know it in this universe will pass away, but not His Words. Indeed, He is saying, His words are more certain than the earth that we stand on.
According to the Marian apparition, the Great Warning is the illumination of conscience that comes shortly before the end times and everyone will personally experience an awareness of their own sinfulness. The person will be alone before God and that will be a kind of “wake-up call” to each human being. While this may sound intimidating, we should all be living our lives with a knowledge of our sinfulness and a constant effort to remedy our faults. When a Bible student sees Israel aligned with the West, and not the North or South or East, he or she is not surprised! We may one day witness the Antichrist taking control of a ten-nation confederacy in Europe by subduing three nations. The book of Daniel provides an overview of world events from the days of King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon all the way to Christ's crucifixion, resurrection and subsequent millennial reign.

He recites this like it’s a passage he’s committed to memory, because it largely is. I know those words, that language; I’ve heard it countless times from countless pulpits. I also know how my father sounds when he’s not reciting things, when he’s interested, passionate, amused, curious. Then I ask him about a TV show, just so I can hear what his end-times message real voice sounds like again before I hang up the phone. For six more months, people believed, ready to be snatched away just before judgment’s arrival. Outside of this formal structure, his father, my grandfather, was radicalized by a charismatic preacher in Queens who believed himself to be one of the last bastions of truth in a fallen world.
